This article shows that long-term testosterone replacement clients:
- Have a reduced cardiovascular disease risk
- Have a reduced mortality (that is a pretty difficult endpoint to achieve!)
- Have a reduced prostate cancer risk
The reduction in prostate cancer risk is dramatic - 40%. This is one of just a few trials to show this.
There was a slight increase in cardiovascular risks in short term clients (10%), but this may be due to the limited number of events in this.
Of course, the comments once again state that more trials need to be conducted. At this point, I am beginning to wonder if any study or trial would suffice for the naysayers. Perhaps they just want more studies to get some funding.
